So much has happened since the last time I was here but my aim is to be here more often going forward. My life has changed in many ways but most importantly my mind has been changing. 2022 has been a year of perspective for me. I see things very differently. I am no longer the same person I was. It’s weird because some days I have minutes of regret. Minutes where my mind says to me……this version of you should have been here since 2020. While that may be true, I shrug it off, knowing I can’t turn back the hand of time, but also reminding myself that I am exactly where I need to be. And I hope you do the same too, “you are exactly where you need to be.”

It took a while for me to get here. To embrace the reality of the change I had to undergo. Part of it is because I had things lingering from the old season and I realized until I fully let go of all that the past had to offer I will not enter into the future awaiting me. This year has really been a transition for me and I can say now with my head fully above water that the transition is complete.

You know that feeling….the feeling of paper on the tip of your finger as you turn a new page, ready to see what the next word is and what the new beginning unfolds. I am feeling that and much more. I feel the rush and thrill and satisfaction that comes with turning a new leaf. But I decided to let it rest. When you end a chapter and you see the new one, chapter 8, you have a choice to make do I dive right in, or do I close the book and patiently await what lies ahead? Patient enough to come back after rest and pick up where you left off, the only difference is you are not returning to the old, but to the new, a new chapter in the beautiful story that is unfolding.

I made my choice to rest and not hurry. Now, I emerge from the rest and I’m ready to begin the first word in the new chapter, with a smile on my face, a little fear but no doubt and so much peace in my heart……here I go.
